THE DELTA NUS 3 F raternities have so much to offer young men in college. For many, the first benefit is simply a new social circle to help them feel more connected on campus. This was the case for Logan Anderson '18, who found a comfortable group of friends in Delta Nu through his roommate, Isaiah Nault '18. "Isaiah knew some of the guys in the chapter through a few classes and ROTC," Logan said. "He brought me out to some recruitment events; I was pretty interested and thought a lot of the guys were really cool. Before then, I didn't really know what to do with myself and didn't really know anyone. All of a sudden, I had people to hang out with who I was comfortable talking to." Diving into Delta Nu Logan fondly remembers waking up early for team-building activities and getting to know fellow brothers during freshman year. He also cherishes the experience of helping prepare for the most recent Homecoming by cleaning up the house and meeting Delta Nu alumni. When they weren't participating in chapter events, the brothers enjoyed attending hockey games nearly every day during this most recent season. As Logan became more involved within Delta Nu, he gained new responsibilities with roles like house manager and historian. The new chapter house opening during his undergraduate years also gave Logan the chance to be involved in establishing and maintaining house operations. He was already familiar with the duties of residential manager, so Logan formally accepted the position when given the opportunity. "I really learned that organization is important to getting anything done, especially when you're trying to manage a group of people. It's important to have a list of who's doing what and what's been done." The Bridge to Life after College Logan will be graduating this spring with a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, though he's not letting his degree stop him from pursuing any possible options. Thanks to two Delta Nu alumni, he was able to find an internship in town to further grow professionally and have a better understanding of engineering roles in the working world. "The biggest piece of advice I can give, and it may be kind of obvious, but you've got to get your work done. It's important to stay ahead of assignments, and it's something that I'm still always working on." When Logan joined Delta Nu, many members were already close to graduation. Because of this, he quickly became familiar with keeping alumni connections and maintaining friendships. Two alumni brothers recently hosted their weddings, giving them all the chance to reconnect and hang out like old times. Logan has a younger brother who just went through ATΩ initiation in Fargo, and he maintains a strong relationship with his older sister. When he's not studying or taking care of Delta Nu responsibilities, Logan enjoys hanging out with brothers and finding time to relax. You can connect with him at logan.anderson.1@und.edu.
