Mountain Plumbing Products' Tub Docking Station has
revolutionized the installation of bathtubs. It's why DPHA honored
the Docking Station with the 2022 Mechanical Product of the Year
Award. The Tub Docking station eliminates the need to tilt the tub on
its side to connect the tub to the brass tailpiece from the underside.
Nor do installers need to lift and lower the tub to connect the tub to
the drain rough-in; this process is cumbersome and often causes
damages to the finish, or worse.
The Tub Docking Station mounts the rough-in flange and tailpiece
to the floor instead of the tub. This allows installers to slide the tub
into place and easily align it to the drain holes. Drains are removable
and can be replaced without having to uninstall the tub, and the plug
top allows easy access to snake the line if necessary. This
revolutionary approach reduces installation time, labor costs and
damage potential.
Infinity Drain's Hair Maintenance Kit received an honorable
mention in the mechanical category. The company developed a
patent-pending hair basket for all of its drains to capture more hair,
soap scum, shampoo, conditioner and other small debris that cause
drains to clog with traditional screens. The design allows homeowners
to easily remove, clean and replace the decorative grate thereby
avoiding the leading cause of drain clogs in the bath.
