A: In terms of a continuing weekly role, yes, though he did guest shots on such shows as "The FBI" and "The Virginian" early in his career. However, it's interesting that even though "1923" made its Paramount+ debut first, Ford actually filmed another series before it. "Shrinking" is set to premiere Jan. 27 on Apple TV+, with Ford as a therapist who's dealing with another counselor (Jason Segel), a man whose own grief prompts him to be painfully candid and honest with his patients. Chances are good that Ford will channel aspects over one of the funniest parts he's played (in our opinion), the cranky TV-news veteran who's decidedly unhappy about becoming a morning-show co- anchor in "Morning Glory." Q: When will the new season of "The Bachelor" begin? – Jennifer Stephens, via email A: Zach Shallcross – who determined his own fate on "The Bachelorette" earlier this year when he eliminated himself as a romantic option for Rachel Recchia – will start his search for love as the chooser when the ABC winter staple returns to its traditional Monday slot for its 27th season on Jan. 23. Jesse Palmer will be back as the host, and inevitably, tears will flow as the process takes its course once again. Send questions of general interest via email to tvpipeline@gracenote.com.
