Of course, Russellville is already home to Arkansas Tech University, four state parks and numerous other attractions, but the Arkansas River Valley city now also features the Wild Creek Art Gallery. e brainchild of Peg Bowen, Wild Creek Art Gallery recently opened at 208 W. Main in Russellville. Bowen, a graphic designer who also enjoys painting, took ownership of the space October 1, and the gallery held its official grand opening event the day aer anksgiving, on November 25. "is has just been a passion of mine to create this space," Bowen said. "I want to make art accessible to people and to encourage people to try art and to enjoy others' art." e 3,000-square-foot gallery in the middle of downtown Russellville's art district currently showcases creations in a variety of media by 15 artists from around Arkansas and other states, including Texas, Georgia and Alabama. But there is room for more, Bowen said, adding that anyone interested in showing their work at Wild Creek Art should contact her. "If it's art, we want it in here," Bowen said, adding that the 15 artists currently featured are just the beginning.
