Happy New Year!
Are you excited about the new year? It is now
the year 2023! What year were you born?
We take a good look outside in this January
issue. While it might be cold outside, there is
a lot of cool stuff to look at and enjoy. Have
you noticed that on a sunny day in the
winter it can be cold outside? Read our
"Sunny Question" page and see if you can
figure out why that is!
If it's too cold to go outside,
you can get moving
INDOORS. Look for our
"Fitness Fun" page. It
has games and activities
that will get you moving.
Remember, moving keeps
your brain sharp, helps you
feel better and makes your
body strong and beautiful!
Don't forget to read our "Activity Calendar"
every day. There is always something to do —
even when it is too cold to go outside.
And this month we learn about one of my
favorite American legends — John Henry!
They say on the day he was born, all the
creatures came to take a look at him. You'll
enjoy reading what happens next!
This month's "How to Draw" page features a
rabbit, because when Chinese New Year rolls
around on January 22, 2023, it will be the
start of the Year of the Rabbit!
