Page 9 Virtue - Diligence - Brotherly Love Chapter Undergrad News Chapter Leadership Transition Twenty nine brothers and alumni participated in our Leadership transition held on December 3, 2022. The event includes report outs from the chapter on their goals for the past semester. Chapter Goals include: • Develop Balanced Men • Finish in top 3 in academic performance. • Maintain chapter financial stability. • Maintain Learning Community status. • Be recognized as an asset to Missouri S&T • Maintain Substance Free Facility status • All members care and respect for House Held at the Mining Engineering building, an all day event where individual officers report out on their SMART goals, make recommendations for their suc- cessor, and gain feedback from the Alumni conducting the assessment. Achievement based scholarships are provided to the officers for their results, and reported to all attendees prior to the end of the day. An amaz- ing event, Mo Gamma alumni would be proud. The Scholarships (~$20k) are provided by our Alumni Corporation from donations and operational funds. Andrew Iram VP SLC Daniel Thompson Chappell Scholarship Winner Pictured below with Dave Denner is Chris Givens, recipient of the Chappell Scholarship, which is named after George Chappell '59 a Mo Gamma brother whose endowment funds this annual event. Chris is a Civil Engineering major with a 3.85 GPA and will graduate in May of 2024. He has held Mo Gamma officer positions including VP scholarship and VP of Programming. Chris was instru- mental in securing chapter support for the recent 75th Anniversary Celebra- tion as well. Congratulations! Chris!
