"The new house is breathtaking! It is obvious that every aspect of living in a sorority house was thoughtfully considered. The weekend was perfect. Love is what I felt while driving home." –Elaine Mogelnicki Turski '69 Reba Nelson Cassin '47 entered the Silent Chapter on September 30, 2022. Reba graduated from Mizzou with a bachelor's degree in English and married her college sweetheart, Eugene, on February 1, 1950. After living in various cities on the East Coast, they returned to Columbia in 1966. Reba worked as an Academic Advisor for the University of Missouri College of Arts and Sciences for 30 years. In addition to her Alpha Phi membership and work as a House Corporation Board member, she was a member of the Literacy Action Corps, Friends of the Library Book Cart, and Calvary Episcopal Church Needlepoint Guild. Her interests included needlework, sewing, gardening, traveling with family, and researching her family genealogy. She also loved classical music, Broadway musicals, reading, and completing cryptograms, crosswords, and jigsaw puzzles. She loved hosting large family gatherings, and her smile and laugh will be missed. To Reba, Alpha Phi wasn't just a lifetime commitment; it was a family affair with all three of her daughters, Laurel Cassin Dawson '79, Cary Cassin Taylor '81, and Julie Cassin Piland '10, being Omicron initiates. In lieu of flowers, Reba requested donations be made to the sorority and the Central Missouri Humane Society. REMEMBERING REBA NELSON CASSIN '47 A DEAR SISTER ENTERS SILENT CHAPTER
