When Richie (Ron Howard) finds out that Fonzie (Henry Winkler) will be spending the yuletide on his own, an invitation is extended. BY JAY BOBBIN more retro rewinds Back in the 1960s, when rural-flavored programming was big business for CBS in particular, "Green Acres" was one of the most popular shows on the air. Decades continues a weekend "Binge" marathon of the show Sunday, Dec. 11, into the early morning of Monday, Dec. 12 – and it retains the easy charm and laughs that made it so popular initially. A big part of the series' success was its fish-out-of-water aspect that relocated lawyer Oliver Douglas and his socialite wife Lisa (played by Eddie Albert and Eva Gabor) from their swanky New York penthouse to the much simpler pleasures of Hooterville, where the quirky residents made for much of the fun here.
