Rho Chapter Strand of Pearls 2 A Strong Spring Semester Rho Chapter has had an extremely successful year so far! Though we were sad to leave our sisters for the summer in May, I think we were all ready for the break from academics. In the spring 2022 semester, AEPhi had the third-highest GPA on Ohio State's campus. We ended the semester with formal and a highly successful sushi-making sisterhood! Overall, the spring semester was very strong. Sisterhood Travels Rho had members all over the world this summer! We had five sisters complete the Onward Israel program, living and working in Tel Aviv, Israel, for eight weeks. We also had sisters traveling Europe, learning about new places and cultures. Many members had internships in major cities like New York City and Chicago as well. In addition to all our travels, we had the honor of sending two emerging leaders in our chapter to the AEPhi Summer Leadership Conference. Shelby Fisher '22 and Rachel Max '22 traveled to Herndon, Virginia, to learn about recruitment and retention tactics from our national office staff. Our executive board is very excited to implement many of the things learned at the conference throughout our chapter. Celebrating 100 Years Rho sisters were thrilled to reunite in Columbus in August. Everyone was eager to hear about summer adventures at our chapter meetings and sisterhood events. On September 11, we were so fortunate to celebrate 100 years of Rho Chapter! The alumnae association partnered with our chapter to host a Centennial Luncheon Celebration. It was an afternoon filled with speeches, great food, interesting stories, and reconnection. In-house members loved showing alumnae around our home and discussing what has changed. Every Rho sister feels lucky to have these alumnae connections and to be able to celebrate 100 years of our sisterhood. Rounding Out the Fall We've had plenty of things to look forward to in the fall. Our Red Week to support the Elizabeth Glaser Pediatric Aids Foundation took place October 3-7. We are deep into our football season and enjoying game days with our sisters, too. We are also excited to welcome new members through Continuous Open Bidding this semester while we prepare for formal recruitment in January. Rho sisters are eager for the rest of fall semester!
