Email: astorksnest@comcast.net Help Locate "Lost" Oregon Beta Brothers So We Can Keep Our Alumni Connected E ngaging our alumni so we can share Oregon Beta news, success stories, and event invitations is only possible if we can reach them. This is easier said than done when alumni change their email addresses after graduation or when they accept a new job, and because the average person moves every seven years! Right now, we're missing complete contact information—a good address and email— from 47% of our Oregon Beta alumni! For our more than 1,319 alumni, we have 32% of their email addresses and 75% of their mailing addresses. We're asking for your help with these two quick things so we can reconnect with brothers from your time at the University of Oregon. Head to oregon.sigep.org/support-our-chapter/lost-brothers to see if any brothers in your graduation year are "lost." There, you can submit updated contact information to ensure we don't lose touch with them again. Make sure your own information is up to date by visiting mysigep.org. This is your one-stop shop to update your contact information, check out real-time information about Oregon Beta, recommend a future brother for recruitment, see your SigEp Educational Foundation giving history, and more. Spending just a few minutes of your time will help Oregon Beta engage alumni as we gather for Homecoming, anniversaries, and events as well as recruit dedicated volunteers to mentor young undergraduate brothers! Guiding SigEp Forward through Volunteerism HELP SHAPE OREGON BETA FOR THE BETTER S igEp's courageous leadership in the Fraternity world is differentiated by the people we bring together and the powerful experiences and supportive environments we provide. Our volunteers are key to this leadership. Seventeen brothers strong, the Oregon Beta AVC is working together to support the future of Oregon Beta Chapter. As SigEp prepares to welcome new members into its brotherhood at the University of Oregon during the fall of 2023, volunteers are investing their time to ensure the long-term growth and success of the Chapter through connection with you, our alumni, and managing assets and corporate health to reopen the Chapter! We will need a team of volunteers to serve as key Chapter operations volunteers, ranging from Chapter counselor to faculty fellow and all the mentors in between. While the members of the Oregon Beta AVC are proud to support the Chapter and our Fraternity within these roles, there are many ways for alumni to volunteer with SigEp to shape the organization for the better. Learn more about volunteering with SigEp today at sigep.org/resources/alumni-and-volunteers. THANK YOU, VETERANS! Connect with the SigEp Patriot Project W e would like to take a moment to recognize the Oregon Beta brothers who have served. While not all made the ultimate sacrifice while defending the freedom of our country, we take the time to honor those who have served and to remember the legacy of those who have passed. If you have served in the military, the SigEp Patriot Project is interested in hearing from you. SPP is dedicated to developing connections with SigEp brothers who have served their country. You can view their Facebook page at facebook.com/groups/sigepswhoserve and/or email sigepswhoserve@gmail.com. They are interested in hearing from any of Oregon Beta's military brothers, including ROTC members, veterans, and those currently serving.
