SIGMA NEWS SIGMA NEWS A PUBLICATION OF THE GAMMA CHI CHAPTER OF SIGMA NU UNIVERSITY OF WASHINGTON s FALL 2022 NOW IS THE TIME TO MAKE A DIFFERENCE Alumni Support Needed to Keep Moving Gamma Chi Forward F or the past few decades, Jeff Roberts '80 and Tim Towner '82 have led the charge to keep our chapter alive. At times, Jeff has been the President of the Gamma Chi Clubhouse, the alumni association, and the advisory board all at the same time. In more recent years, Doug Ichikawa '78 has stepped up to take on the advisory board and has done an excellent job creating a team that acts as mentors to our actives. Jon Magin '06 stepped up and took over the role of President of the Gamma Chi Clubhouse. He also acts as VP, Secretary, Treasurer, and all other positions that make up a board. My role has been to support Jeff, Jon and the Clubhouse, Doug, and the advisory board and contribute to the chapter's communications efforts. Doug is working feverishly to maintain high morale among the actives as they continue to fight their way out of the pandemic. ere are several challenges here with the most important being our recruiting efforts. It's a big job too! Jon has been doing a fantastic job running the Clubhouse, but he has a young family, a demanding job, and not much more time to give beyond making sure we remain solvent.
