IOWA STATE UNIVERSITY | 3 I was born and raised in Aurora, IL. I chose Iowa State because of the fantastic Mechanical engineering and Army ROTC programs. So far, the Army has sent me to New Mexico, Kentucky, Washington, D.C., and North Carolina twice. One of the highlights of my time in ROTC has been the opportunity to attend Air Assault school. This school trains soldiers in Air Assault operations, sling-load operations, and rappelling. I am looking forward to commissioning as a Second Lieutenant upon graduation. My plan is the make the Army my career. In addition to my leadership position of company executive officer in ROTC, I am the health and safety officer of PIKE. I have enjoyed helping my brothers become the men I know they strive to be. I do my best to inform everyone of how to live a physically and mentally healthy life. I also make myself available for academic help in the library daily. Helping underclassmen especially those in mechanical engineering to understand the concepts they are studying in class is very rewarding. Going forward my goal is to share the leadership principles I have learned and practiced in the Army with the fraternity. Respectfully, Connor Hollarbush Iowa State Army ROTC CONNOR HOLLARBUSH: CHAPTER HEALTH & SAFETY OFFICER NEXT GEN PIKES: A DETERMINATION TO EXCEL KOLTON EISMA: CHAPTER TREASURER I am from a small town in northwest Iowa called Hawarden. Graduating from a class size of 64, coming to Iowa State opened my eyes to many new opportunities in academics and extracurriculars, such as greek life and student organizations. With my background as an eagle scout and passion for agriculture, I knew there was a lot of potential for growth in preparing myself for the business world. Studying agricultural business with a minor in supply chain management, I tend to stay busy with classes and studying, and during my free time, I like to spend time with my fellow members of Pi Kappa Alpha, who have become some of my closest friends here on campus. If it's not studying in the library or practicing for volleyball intramurals, I dedicate time reviewing our chapter records and ensuring everything is up to standards so that our brothers can focus on building themselves as men of integrity and character. M My goal for our fraternity is to subvert the idea of Greek life men partying and focus on becoming Scholars, Leaders, Athletes, and Gentlemen first and foremost, above all else. While also being the treasurer for our brotherhood, I am a part of Iowa State's Student Body Government, where I am seated in the Rules Committee and Finance Committees, and my official title is a Residential Hall Senator. I represent all students who live on Iowa State Campus within the residence halls and attend both the Student Government meetings on Wednesdays and the Inter- Residential Hall Association meetings on Thursdays, where I relay information to and from each meeting. In doing this, I hope to continue to show the public that Pi Kappa Alpha here at Iowa State has members of its fraternity among the highest positions on campus. - Kolton E
