However, geography also has a lot to do with it. Navarro and her husband reside in Miami, so to be seated at the "View" table in New York involves a trip of several days for her. Did anyone besides Robert Urich play the private eye Spenser on television? – Gary Klein, Reading, Pa. A: A decade after the weekly series Urich made for ABC ended, Joe Mantegna assumed the Spenser character created by novelist Robert B. Parker in three movies made for A&E network – where the Mantegna-starring "Criminal Minds" ran in repeats for quite a long time. Then in 2020, Netflix debuted the movie "Spenser Confidential," with Mark Wahlberg (who got to work in the Boston area where he grew up, a principal setting of "Spenser" stories) in the title role.
