STRONG. WOMEN. Welcome Home Welcome Home Kicking off the beginning of the fall 2022 semester has been fun so far! Moving back into our newly renovated home was exciting. From new carpet in our formal living room to a freshly painted exterior, the Alpha Chi house shined during recruitment. We want to thank our donors for making all this possible—it couldn't have been done without you! We had a fantastic fall formal recruitment thanks to our vice president of recruitment, Lindsay Cox '19, and her assistants, Maya Fetter '19 and Taylor Bridge '19. We welcomed home 64 new members plus seven more since Bid Day through continuous ongoing recruitment. Bid Day was a blast! Bid Day Chairman Riley Dunsworth '19 did an amazing job with decor. Our vice president of new membership education, Bella Line '19, brought back the ribbon ceremony—it was so special for all our new members and their Bid Day buddies to experience that special moment together. We are thrilled to initiate our new members on October 27 and officially call them members of Phi Chapter. Sisterhood Events Sisterhood Events We have so much to look forward to this fall! Our vice president of membership programming, Stella Shotkoski '20, partnered with NASCAR and got us tickets to the race on September 11 for a legendary sisterhood event. She also planned a fun sisterhood retreat for us at the Kane Family Farm on September 16. KU's Family Weekend was September 23-25. Ella Keathley '20 was so kind to get a deal for all our members and their families to enjoy discounted football game tickets for the weekend. On September 28, we celebrated our big/ little reveal. The women have had so much fun going on their big/little dates and all were excited to meet their new family members! Strengthening the Chapter Strengthening the Chapter Executive board elections are coming soon! We elected our Nomination Committee at our last chapter meeting on September 12, and we are looking forward to seeing who is interested in being a member of the 2022-23 executive team. The elected members will be taking on their new jobs starting November 6. Overall, life at Phi Chapter has been loads of fun. From welcoming home our new members on Bid Day to surprise ice cream trucks after chapter (thanks to our Parents' Club) to amazing sisterhood events, we couldn't ask for a better start to our fall semester!
