Pi Beta Phi at Oklahoma State University Continuing Our Oklahoma Beta Sisterhood at 324 Oklahoma Beta Chapter of Pi Beta Phi c/o Pennington & Company P.O. Box 442100 Lawrence, KS 66044-2100 Address Service Requested okstate.pibetaphi.org @okstatepiphi W e are so grateful to all those who helped to plan the summer reunions. Oklahoma Beta women initiated from 1950 to 2019 came home to Stillwater to say goodbye to 324 and spend time with their member class sisters. It was a wonderful way to reconnect with so many of you, and we are so thankful for the chance to share the rebuild plans and answer your questions. • Since 2014, five sororities and 10 fraternities have had major remodels or complete tear downs and rebuilds. We determined a rebuild would be a better solution to replace our aging infrastructure while also modernizing the look and function of our home. • The current estimate is approximately $12 million for the construction costs plus an additional $3 million to cover other expenses. Reaching our fundraising goal is critical to making this project happen! • Yes! There will be a swing in the front patio area and likely the back courtyard. The collegians love using this space to study and socialize, so we plan on having a front patio that is at least equal or larger than the size today. Additionally, we're planning on one or two sundecks. • For bedrooms, we plan on having at least two 6-member, four 4-member and several 2-member suites and 2-member rooms. • We do not plan to have a circle drive. It can be a burden to the collegians to have to manage the circle drive and those parked there who shouldn't be parked. We have also heard comments that all you see are cars when you look at the front of house. We want to emphasize our new façade and front entertaining areas. • The Building Committee understands our bricks are very important to our members and we will be addressing this in the near future. • During the holiday break, the building committee and Chapter House Corporation will perform an inventory of the house and determine what we will be reusing in the new house. All items that will not be used will be sold or donated. Be on the lookout for an online sale and early May Estate Sale! Get connected on the Facebook page, "Pi Beta Phi – Oklahoma State University" to keep in the know of upcoming events. • We are analyzing the number of beds we will have in the new house to ensure we have a full house all year long. Typically, sophomores and juniors live in the chapter house; new member class 2022 will be sophomores and will find apartments close together to keep the sisterhood alive. This class will be the first class to live in the new house! • 2023 recruitment will be held in the Wesley Center, on the corner of University and Washington Streets, close to the OSU fraternity/sorority neighborhood. This is our only option, but this has been done successfully by other chapters on campus during the building process. Bid Day location is TBD. • We are planning a Groundbreaking Celebration in Stillwater in May 2023. Be sure to come back to Pi Phi for this momentous occasion.
