Stir-fry carrots in 2 tablespoons hot oil in large frying pan about 2 minutes or until tendercrisp. Remove with slotted spoon to large bowl. Cover and cook 6 to 7 minutes, or until tendercrisp, stirring occasionally. Drain; add to carrot mixture. 3. Dry frying pan; add remaining 2 tablespoons oil. Stir-fry beef with marinade, half at a time, over medium-high heat about 5 minutes or until no longer pink. Add beef to vegetables. Add cooked pasta; toss well. 4. Combine salad dressing with remaining 2 tablespoons soy sauce. Add to salad; toss well. Line a large serving bowl with lettuce leaves; arrange salad. Serve immediately or serve chilled. Makes 6 servings. Freezing time 30 minutes. Preparation time; 45 minutes. Marinating time: Overnight. Cooking time: 19 minutes. COMMUNITY CLIPS Summer migrant program to hold dance Corning Union Elementary School District (CUESD) began its Migrant Education sum- mer program on July 22. Students in grades 3-8 have been participating in a reading, language arts, dance, physical fitness, music and nutrition program for two weeks. Bowman Fire Station fundraiser Sewer Extension Bonds Carry, 9 to 1, In City Election The Tehama County Fire Department's Bow- By a nine to one vote the sewer extension bonds carried at the special election yesterday in Red Bluff. The total vote against the proposed improvements was only 29, of which 12 were cast the east side and 17 on the west side.
