s we did in fall 2021, the brothers
of the Alpha Chapter of Theta Xi
fraternity continue to resurrect old traditions
while starting some new ones.
We recruited and initiated a total of 15 new
members over the 2021-22 academic year.
The spring 2022 semester saw RPI's IFC
implement a new recruitment structure, but
despite this, Alpha Chapter still managed
to recruit seven new members. Planning
is already underway for the fall 2022
recruitment period with a goal of recruiting
over 15 new members.
The chapter continued hosting successful
community relations events throughout
the spring semester. Community Relations
Chairman Luc Trombley '24 brought
back some traditional events, such as Dog
Days, while hosting new events like our
Bowling with Hi5 sports events. Dog Days
was held for the first time since the start of
the pandemic and was a huge success with
approximately 300 people in attendance
throughout the day. Bowling with Hi5 sports
was a new event where brothers would go
bowling on the weekend with special needs
children. During the first in-person 6294
celebration since the COVID pandemic
began, the brothers also hosted a barbecue for
the alumni attending the event.
As the fall semester approaches, we will
continue to prepare for another successful
semester. We would like to thank all the
alumni who continue to support the active
members of Alpha Chapter of Theta Xi. We
look forward to enjoying the rest of summer
and the upcoming fall semester!
