C
entennial Committee Chair Jessi Meredith
Caldera '03 welcomed more than 100
sisters to the chapter house for the Milestone
and Memorial Brunch Sunday morning. After a
delicious meal, representatives of each decade
read the names of sisters who have entered
Chapter Eternal from the 1954 new member
class until now, causing some tears to be shed—
both by the readers and the audience. Mary Ann
Eggers Beahon '65 led the ceremony and added
a red carnation to a vase for each sister lost.
Marlene Harrison '57, Barbara Monaco '57
and Nancy Enslin Wilson '57 emotionally
read the names of deceased sisters from the
1950s, including seven from their new member
class. Other readers were Pat Rickard Rohan
'64 and Carla Henke Mattson '68, Lou Ann
Pfeifer Wilcox '75, Jeannine Brickey '81, Jill
Pfaff '90 and Carrie Dent Gonzalez '07.
Jari Askins, Alpha Chi Omega national vice
president, led the Membership Milestones
Ceremony, pinning women celebrating 25,
50 and 60 years of sisterhood. Singing of the
"Toast" and "Alpha Chi" and a rededication
to the bond of Alpha Chi Omega followed
the pinning. The collegiality of the women
attending and the beauty of our ritual made for a
fitting conclusion to the centennial celebration.

Dorcas Jones Sokolow '77 is the lucky winner of a
tote bag of Mizzou swag from the Mizzou Alumni
Association. Coincidentally, she also was the first
alumna to register for the centennial.
