8 | r e d f c u.o r g The Lure of the RV RV sales continue to climb. Ever get the notion to hit the highway in an RV? Well, you're not alone. e recreational vehicle industry is growing. RV shipments in 2021 increased 39.5% over the 2020 year-end total of 430,412 units.* More than 11 million U.S. households now own an RV. Why is ownership so alluring? Chase Baerlin, president of Bankston Motor Homes in Alabama and Tennessee, said they continue to have near-record sales. "People are still wanting to get out and make memories for their families," said Baerlin, grandson of the company's founder, Harrison Bankston. Bankston Motor Homes has been in business for 52 years. "We have financed a lot of vehicles through Redstone. Redstone makes it easy for us and the customer," said Harrison Bankston. Escape the Chaos An RV is your home away from home! With its bed, bathroom, and kitchenette, the amenities are comfortable and convenient. It easily accommodates an outdoors vacation. When you need to get away from it all, an RV easily lets you put the demands of everyday life in the rearview mirror. With views of water, trees, or mountains, being outdoors is beneficial in many ways. Surrounding yourself with nature relieves stress and improves physical well-being. Getting away in an RV may mean staying safer too. About 60% of RV owners say it's the safest way to travel during a pandemic. It allows you to be self-sufficient and self-contained because you can use your own kitchen, bathroom, and limit your interactions with others. Some reasons why RVs continue to be popular: 1. You can enjoy the journey. Traveling in an RV makes the trip to your destination part of the fun. 2. More affordable vacation options. Compared to a hotel or an Airbnb, an RV vacation may save families as much as 60%. You're likely to grocery shop, rather than eat out, which saves on food costs. And the biking, hiking, swimming, and fishing that often accompany an RV vacation may be less expensive than other vacation activities. 3. Pets welcome. Rather than pay for a kennel or have a friend watch your pets, an RV lets you bring them along. 4. A remote office on wheels. With some campgrounds offering Wi-Fi, connecting to the office from an RV allows you to keep up at work while you're away. If you're dreaming of an RV vacation, Redstone can help! We offer Recreational Vehicle loans with several financing terms to fit your budget. And our lending process is simple and straightforward, so you can get out on the road sooner! *RV Industry Association Market Report 2021
