Email: jegraham5488@gmail.com Richardson/Plano KΔ Alumnae Chapter, and I have served as president and in varying officer and committee roles since. I was honored to be our chapter delegate at the National Kappa Delta Convention in Dallas in 2019, where I accepted six awards on behalf of our chapter, including the Alumnae Chapter Excellence Award. I also celebrated with my Epsilon Iota sisters in attendance. Often, I talk to young women who have their heart set on Mizzou and want to learn more about Kappa Delta and Greek life. Kristen: In Missouri, I served on a team to start our chapter at Washington University in St. Louis in 2013. In 2019, I returned to Epsilon Iota's CAB for recruitment advising. Ironically, some of the people I spend the most time with in St. Louis are Mizzou Kappa Deltas, but none of us were in the chapter at the same time. Q: In what ways was being recognized with the Order of the Emerald impactful for you? Rose: Last June, our Richardson/Plano KΔ Alumnae Chapter held a virtual watch party at a KΔ member's home. I was surrounded by my KΔ sisters when my name was announced. It was wonderful! When I was presented with my Order of the Emerald pin and certificate at our Founders Day celebration on October 23, 2021, it was a magical moment for me to be recognized among women I deeply care about. Kristen: When Mizzou and my hometown of St. Louis are highlighted on a national level, it is a win for all of us. The Order of the Emerald award was great because it highlights the women of Epsilon Iota. No one remembers my name from the award but instead refers to me as "someone from Mizzou," and that's what matters to me. Want to learn more about Rose and Kristen?
