I especially enjoy the opportunities to meet sisters from different states," Carol enthused. "Luncheons are a highlight for sisters. There are 25 members who participate in the luncheon, and they particularly enjoy the session where we share a Tri Delta memory," Nancy began. "We collect donations for the Foundation at these luncheons, and we also have an annual book sale to raise money for our treasury." Of the 1,000 Delta Xi sisters in the St. Louis area, only 40 women pay dues to the alumnae group. Alumnae groups are a one-stop shop for sharing memories and making new ones. From your early 20s to your late 90s, there's no expiration date of when to get involved, only a desire to do so is required. "Making memories with fellow alumnae is one of the best parts," Carol added. "The luncheon is always a fun way to catch up and hear stories, especially from our senior members. These ac vi es become increasingly important to the lives of our members as they grow older and their circumstances change. It's a great way to celebrate sisterhood!" –Nancy Stough Hillhouse '67 When Nancy, Carol, and Laura were asked what advice they would give to younger alumnae, they all agreed that sisterhood is lifelong. Laura advised, "Get involved and make a difference!" Looking for ways to bond with your local alumnae group?
