Corden stayed much longer at "The Late Late Show" than he expected to, and though he got to explore such other avenues as mov- ie acting, he had to fit that into very concentrated slots when he took off time from the show. Corden also has been away from his London home base for large chunks of what will be eight years by the time his "Late Late" run ends, so that's likely a major factor in his decision, too.
