Wouldn't it be fascinating to open a Time
Capsule that was made 10, 15 or 20 years
ago? Time capsules store the information of
what is going on now as well as items that
are typical for today. Newspaper articles,
maybe some photos, a homework assignment,
a trendy toy—what might you include?
There are some very odd plants out there
that like to eat bugs. They have different
ways to catch them. One of them is the Venus
Flytrap. If a bug lands on the hinged leaf,
it snaps shut really quickly and over
the course of the next 10 days
or so, it consumes the bug.
Definitely a weird but true tale.
One creature you don't want to
get too close to is a Skunk. From a
distance, we interviewed a skunk
to get some details about their lives
and habits.
This issue is full of strange and amazing
stories that will capture your imagination. I
was fascinated to read the Chinese Legend of
the Monkey King. He started life as a stone
that morphed into a monkey when the wind
blew on it. He could leap through clouds and
had a staff that could shrink or grow as he
needed it.
Summer months are a great time to pick up
Kid Scoop News and read these miraculous
stories. Longer daylight hours, time to have
fun and play but also a time to
relax and read. Reading for fun
is great and now is the time to
enjoy some reading fun.
