It isn't on ABC's roster of return- ing game shows, and that's not all that surprising under the circumstances. Baldwin would have had to have been making new episodes recently as both host and ex- ecutive producer, and anyone who keeps up with the news knows that he has had other concerns. From the network's stand- point, it's also a matter of whether it wants to showcase a Baldwin who appears lighthearted and wisecrack- ing — which is his "Match Game" persona — while he's involved off-camera in other matters widely known to be deeply serious. The show always could come back with someone else presiding over it, as Baldwin did in suc- ceeding Gene Rayburn, but that doesn't appear to be in the cards for the immediate future.
