University of Kansas page 3 T he Brothers of Delta Tau Delta have had an incredibly eventful year! From philanthropy events to social gatherings and Shelter improvements to campus involvement, we've been engaged all across KU. Brothers came back to a new and improved Shelter this year, with Brother Adam Morse '23 working tirelessly last summer to overhaul the backyard. We added a new, sheltered area with televisions, repainted the basketball court, and redid the firepit area. Gamma Class also pitched in by building new benches for use around our firepit. Additionally, we replaced the bathroom fixtures and redid the bathroom floors. Outside of the Shelter, we completed some great philanthropic work. Members participated in the Little Big Event, a community service event held each fall to help our neighbors in the Lawrence community. We've also been participating in IFC philanthropy events on campus and are planning a car wash to support our partners in JDRF this spring. Our members have traveled extensively this school year, with several Brothers going to Austin, Texas, to watch the historic Kansas football upset of the Texas Longhorns. Some traveled for spring break, from Padre Island to Ft. Lauderdale. Members of our executive team attended the Western Plains Division Conference in Omaha, Nebraska, where Evan Mullen '23 received an award for excellence in chapter finance; Gamma Tau also received an award for excellence in chapter growth. It was great to meet Delts from other universities as well! Gamma Tau was proud to initiate 100 percent of our new members last semester, and academically, the chapter maintained a 3.12 GPA. We look forward to continuing a tradition of excellence in the coming year!
