n honor of its founding on November 18, 1921, Psi Chapter threw a big party to
celebrate 100 years of chapter success and lasting friendships. Over 350 alumnae
(and a few spouses sprinkled in) gathered at Indian Hills Country Club on November 13
to see displays of history, relive their recruitment skit, Hollywood Bowl, and dance their
hearts out to their forever favorite band, Chevy 6. Chairman Nancy Richeson Siniard
'74 welcomed the guests and returned to her collegiate role of Hollywood Bowl hostess.
She introduced the original Louis Armstrong, Meg Strickland '72, The Rockettes,
Temptations, Supremes, and The Jackson Five. The OGs (the Original Girls) made their
Hollywood Bowl debut, reenacting their recruitment skits from the 1960s and leading
everyone in singing old Alpha Gam songs and the alumnae favorite, "Paradise."
Kudos to Stacey Summerville '06 for the incredible display of chapter history,
Katherine McDavid Allen '87 for serving as the Hollywood Bowl talent scout and
providing a practice venue, and Susan Jones Driggers '75, the forever recruitment
chairman, who directed the oh-so-fun reenactment of Hollywood Bowl.
Pledge classes and groups celebrated on Friday night, attended the football game on
Saturday, and were treated to a beautiful brunch on Sunday morning at the sorority
house. The whole weekend was a huge success, and while we could go on and on about
how much fun it was, the pictures tell it best!
