Spring 2022 A L P H A E P S I L O N P H I A T T H E O H I O S T A T E U N I V E R S I T Y Rho Chapter Strand of Pearls Rho Chapter Strand of Pearls A s the end of the 2022 academic year is approaching, we are thankful the chapter continues to flourish in its 100th year and are looking forward to 100 more filled with incredible women. Currently, the active chapter has resumed normal operations within the chapter house, with out-of-house members joining us for class dinner nights and guests welcomed back to the house. As the house opens to more women, we are ecstatic to continue renovations. This summer, we plan to resume house improvement projects, including painting all the bedrooms and installing new furniture in five of them. After two cancellations due to COVID restrictions, we are pleased to announce that Rho Chapter's Centennial Luncheon will take place this year on September 11. This will be a great opportunity to reconnect with your sisters and celebrate the chapter—together. The luncheon will take place at the Longaberger Alumni House from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., followed by a tour of the chapter house. We want to thank Jessica Rosenfield Slatton '05 and Melissa Rosenfield '04 for chairing the planning of our Centennial Luncheon. We know it will be a fabulous & fun event! That weekend will also host a home football game against Arkansas State. The Alumni Association will make tickets available for alumnae to purchase for the September 10 game. Much more information is to come about this exciting weekend celebration, and we hope many of you can join us! We would also like to thank the loyal alumnae listed below who have donated to our centennial giving campaign—your support is greatly appreciated! "Finding your place in a city that is unfamiliar is intimidating, but Greek life made OSU feel much smaller; I discovered a community in Greek life that gave me lifelong friends, helped me develop strong values, and made me the person I am today." Joining a sisterhood alongside their familial sister was a different experience, but it was one that Melissa and Jessica, who are only 13 months apart in age, cherish. "There were several women in the house who had siblings, but they didn't necessarily have a sister, so it was fun sharing our dynamic with our Rho sisters in the house," Jessica shared.
