2022 Westside Community Guide – 21 ■ GRAVETTE: a good place to grow your business, a great place to raise your family SPONSOR CONTENT As Northwest Arkansas continues to grow, towns are expanding and improving their amenities to welcome new arrivals. Gravette Chamber of Commerce President Steve Harari understands this, having moved his family from Northern California to this charming locale only two years ago. "Gravette blends a beautiful small town environment with close proximity to larger communities like Bentonville. "I think Gravette is entering an accelerated growth phase right now," Steve said. "And this will provide new opportunities for both families and businesses." From a family perspective, it is hard to imagine a more household-centered community. Crime is low, the schools are first rate, there is a hospital right in town. The school district just purchased two large parcels of land to allow for future expansion options. And you can find family-focused activities in town all year round. A huge shift in commute times has also started to turn people's sights on the town as a place to live. "With the opening of the Bella Vista bypass on I49, people who may be working in Bentonville or Rogers can now live in Gravette and enjoy a 25- 30 minute commute to work," Steve said. On the business front, Gravette is quickly becoming a force to be reckoned with in Northwest Arkansas. The charming downtown is experiencing a renaissance with a new City Hall opened on Main St. along with new offices for the Chamber of Commerce. Two doors down from the chamber there's a Louisiana-Style restaurant (Lagniappe Bistro & Market) opening up in May. In the fall of 2021, Gravette's first sports bar opened (The Recreation Parlor), with a large outdoor wall mural painted by noted Bentonville artist Samuel Hale. Lindsay's Food Court has opened with stations for up to ten food trucks. Other Main St. buildings have been purchased by restaurant owners who seem poised to move forward in the near future. Away from downtown, the new I49 bypass boasts three interchanges within the boundaries of Gravette with capacity for up to 150 new businesses plus a new ARDOT welcome center, Steve pointed out.
