MAKING OUR MARK ON OU SORORITY LIFE PSI SOONERS GAMMA PHI BETA AT THE UNIVERSITY OF OKLAHOMA • SPRING 2022 T here's no doubt that a critical component to having a successful collegiate experience is being immersed in an environment full of people who prioritize academics, leadership, and service. That's exactly what our Psi sisterhood has enjoyed at 1105 College Avenue, and it's exactly why we've taken on this large-scale renovation project. As Gamma Phi Beta alumnae, we have a responsibility to preserve that legacy by keeping those opportunities alive for generations to come. We're in good company here at OU with every sorority doing its part to prepare for the future of Greek life. Let's look at what other strong women have accomplished on campus during their capital campaigns: • Chi Omega raised over $1.3 million with 15% alumnae participation. • Tri Delta has raised over $2.2 million so far with 10% participation. • Kappa Kappa Gamma has raised over $4.8 million to date with 23% participation. Our goal for The Next Century of Psi is $1.5 million, and so far, 256 of you have brought us to $1,161,702. We are well on our way to our campaign goal, but with just 10.6% participation, we know we can do much better. You've seen the competition, and you've seen our construction progress. Now, we need all hands on deck to reach that goal and lay a firm foundation for Psi. The average participation rate of successful Greek capital campaigns is 20-25%. If Kappa can raise that much with just 23% participation, we know that $1.5 million is possible for us at 20% or more! All these sororities are strong—so are we. No gift is considered too small when it comes to giving back to our sisterhood.
