1 THE GAMMA UPSILON TRADITION T he Gamma Upsilon Chapter of Theta Chi shares a storied tradition at Bradley University dating back to 1949. From our founding to the present, our proud history speaks for itself through high academic achievement and leadership within the membership. With more than 900 initiates, Gamma Upsilon Chapter has influenced the lives of numerous men, cultivating lasting friendships in the process. Many of our best college memories can be traced back to our home at 1308 W. Fredonia Avenue. Embodying the values of true friendship and the helping hand, Theta Chi has continually served as an enduring system of support on the Bradley campus for its members. The Theta Chi house was where we learned the virtues of truth, temperance, and tolerance and developed leadership skills not found elsewhere on campus. Throughout Gamma Upsilon's history, these experiences have shaped our members into leaders on campus, in our communities, and in post-collegiate careers. Since 1949, it has been one of the longest-standing fraternity traditions at Bradley and is one we want to preserve for the next generation of Theta Chi men. As alumni of the chapter, we have a responsibility to provide future generations with the same experience to grow as scholars, leaders, athletes, and gentlemen. Today, we have a unique opportunity to start fresh, to revisit our core values, and to create an environment where the next generation of men can learn and grow through these inherent values of our brotherhood. We ask you to remember those who follow and to join your alumni brothers in an effort we believe will secure Gamma Upsilon's legacy for years to come.
