"We are a retail shopping store that changes seasonally," Deanna said. "We feature items geared towards gis and one- of-a-kind pieces. Having a store to shop for gis and clothing right here in Lincoln was our goal." Another way Deanna and Timothy have helped breathe new life into Lincoln is the Farmers Market that sells fresh produce and fruit as well as handmade items. "Two weeks aer opening the store I set up a meeting with the Lincoln Chamber of Commerce to ask them to go in partnership with us to do a Farmers Market," Deanna explained. "ey agreed and I started planning. We currently have 34 vendors that have contacted us to be part of the market. We have a local orchard, two local produce farms, two USDA certified meat providers, eggs, fresh bakery foods, plant starters, woodworkers, and other cras and fresh flowers. We also have some fun stuff like kettle corn, pork rinds and more. April 23 will be the first day of the market and it will go through to the end of summer." A few weeks before the Farmers Market opened, the O'Briens brought in a food truck stationed in front of the store offering smoked meat and of variety of food. Plus, a drop off bakery supplies them with fresh apple dumplings and cinnamon rolls daily. ey also sell delicious homemade jellies, salsa, apple butter and local honey on the front counter. "Lincoln is a small town and has many families that have spent generations here," Deanna said. "Our hope is that our Appletown Store along with the Farmers Market will give a place that young and old alike can come and enjoy things as they once were.
