A fter being named the overall winner of the Homecoming competition in the fall, members of Xi have been excited as ever to be back at the University of Kansas this spring. Last fall, the members elected new officers, who set multiple goals and expectations for Xi to encourage sisterhood and kindness throughout the chapter. The executive council also plans to incorporate more rituals back into Xi. V.P. of Philanthropic Services Annelise Amack '20 has been working diligently to plan a new philanthropic event for the Sigma Kappa Foundation this spring, which will consist of a silent disco. Now that the mask mandate in Lawrence has been lifted, Xi Chapter is determined to reinvolve Sigma Kappa in the community by making a positive transition into prioritizing philanthropic services. Participating in Continuous Open Recruitment this spring allowed Xi Chapter to welcome six new members. Officers worked hard to find individuals who reflect Sigma Kappa's values, and we are excited to welcome them in addition to the members we initiated in the fall. The chapter has been strengthened by these bright and kind new members, and we look forward to leading the chapter with them as they move forward in the member education program. Ultimately, promoting sisterhood in Xi has been an important mission of the officers. Of the several actions we've taken to strengthen our connections, the members have shown extra excitement for the matching permanent bracelets that we all share. As our sisterhood grows, we are fortunate to have opportunities to forge friendships with each other. This spring, the members of Xi were thrilled to support our sisters in the opening number of Rock Chalk Revue and Jill Branch '18, who served on the executive board. Being involved on campus and supporting philanthropic efforts remains a priority. Moving forward this spring, the chapter is thrilled to host and attend more events to strengthen our sisterhood, showcase our chapter house, and bond with our mothers during Mom's Weekend. Alumnae, as well as the advisory and corporation boards, continue to show up, root for us, and support our growing sisterhood, and for that, we are thankful. We have plenty to look forward to this year, and we can't wait to share it with you. Thank you for staying connected with Xi!
