2022 Dogwood Festival • 7 Janelle Jessen/Herald-Leader Children and adults played on the many attractions in the Fun Zone during the festival. Last year, what was formerly called the KidZone expanded its reach to include the whole family and changed its name to FunZone. This year the Dogwood Festival committee wants everyone to know that young and old alike are welcome to get into fun at the Kenneth Gutierrez FunZone with lots of fun—and sometimes challenging—activities guaranteed to get your heart rate up and put a smile on your face. Old favorites returning: Quad Jump Bungee Bounce high and take flight as you're strapped in with giant bungee cords. You'll bounce so high you'll touch the sky. But don't worry, you always come down. Inflatables Kids will get the chance to burn of some of the sugar from those tasty festival treats at our obstacle course, bounce house, toddler bounce house, and super slide. Mechanical Bull Calling all frustrated rodeo wannabes. Here's your chance to see how long you can last riding the bull before you're thrown. Bouncy Jousting Let the games begin and the fun never ends! 25-foot climbing wall The rock wall is back and waiting for agile contestants to see how far they can climb. Bungee Run See how far you can run before the bungee yanks you back. There will be lots of fun and lots of laughs. Party Time Pony Rides Ride 'em cowboys and cowgirls, the pony rides are here again! New Fun in the Zone for 2022: GellyBall Think paintball, without the paint or pain! They use water beads instead! For children 6 and up - but fun for adults, too! Hang2Win Hang for 100 seconds, and win $100! But be careful - if you move, so does the bar! Southern Bell Enterprises Hi-Striker/strongman games. Ring the bell with the hardest hit.
