The festival is scheduled each year for the last full weekend in April. This year the dates are April 22nd, 23rd and 24th . For years, people have enjoyed the Dogwood Festival as a great way to transition from jackets to t-shirts. At the festival you will find many t-shirts featuring our new updated 47th annual Dogwood logo as well as many other items of gifts, jewelry, crafts, collectibles, and so much more. You will also have countless options for great food and fun for all ages. Below are a few suggestions for things to do while in Siloam Springs for the Dogwood Festival: • Visit the kayak park on the Illinois River which is conveniently located four miles south of Siloam Springs on a paved road. Admission to the park is free and people of all ages are able to kayak, canoe, and tube during daylight hours. • Head for the Sager Creek Mountain Bike Trail, which winds behind the John Brown University campus and includes five miles of varying difficulty level trails. • Go north of town to the City Lake area, where there are new bike trails, a bird blind, bike park, and fishing dock where one has the opportunity to catch a variety of many species of fish. • Visit Memorial Park – featuring a splash pad, farmers market area, outdoor amphitheater, landscaped walking paths, concession stand and an impressive Fallen Soldiers memorial. • Walk around our historic charming downtown, featuring quaint little shops, restaurants, and a thriving hub of locally- owned and operated businesses. • Visit our recently renovated and energized Museum on Maxwell Street. • Information Booth - At the festival, come by our information booth for a map of the festival attractions and the city, and to get your t-shirt. Plan to sit for a while and listen to the entertainment- several exciting new musical groups are coming this year. • Great Food - Ah, the great festival food! You can enjoy specialty foods you just can't find the rest of the year. Go ahead, it is only once a year…. • Fun Zone - Enjoy the mechanical bull, rock wall, as well and inflatables for the little children and so much more. • Assistance - If you need information or assistance, just find one of our friendly helpers with "volunteer" on the back of their t-shirt.
