20 • 2022 Dogwood Festival The home to the 47th Annual Dogwood Festival, Siloam Springs, sits in the northwest corner of Arkansas and the southwest quadrant of the beautiful Ozarks, divided by creeks and rivers, and dotted with an abundance of fresh water springs. These sources of water were an invaluable resource to pioneers who sought to settle here, but the springs were often held in higher esteem than streams and lakes. Towns, like Siloam Springs, formed around them attracting tourists seeking healing for their illnesses, a sense of generally improved health, and a summer getaway. Today, people still come from all across Arkansas and the surrounding states for outdoor adventure and fun in Siloam Springs.
