14 • 2022 Dogwood Festival Nothing rivals a festival when it comes to energy, excitement and good food. Dogwood Festival food vendors will surely tempt your taste buds and are guaranteed to not disappoint the eager palates of Dogwood Festival attendees. Dogwood Festival Coordinator Lindsey Taylor, along with Jerry Carsten of Carsten Concessions have worked to make sure there are plenty of savory and sweet options for all appetites and all ages! This isn't just your usual fair food (of course, you'll find lots of that too!) The Dogwood Festival offers quite an eclectic collection of yummy eats. Here's your guide to what you'll find. Back by popular demand Everyone has their favorite foods that they may have been dreaming about all year, waiting for the festival's return. If you are one of those people, have no fear. If we had it last year, it is probably making a return appearance at the 2022 Dogwood Festival! Here are this year's returnees: Carsten Concessions Longtime festival food vendor Carsten Concessions returns with their variety of savory and sweet menu items. If funnel cakes are your thing they have both traditional ones as well as gourmet ones like Oreo and S'mores. Their Cajun menu includes gator sausage and gator-on-a-stick as well as gyros and Philly cheese steak. Take a refreshing break with their fresh lemonade. Finally, their ice cream is a can't miss delight with everything from ice cream to root beer floats. Berrie Kabobs Always a hit with strawberry banana or strawberry brownie kabobs and cheesecake on a stick. A & J Concessions Features mouth-watering Indian tacos and BBQ and their ever-popular smoked turkey legs. Gary's Concessions Check out their delicious pulled pork nachos! Shuckin' Delicious Corn Some seriously tender roasted corn Dos Locos Gringos For those wanting something with a southwestern flair. Billy Jacks Root Beer Take a refreshing break with an old classic! This is one of our staples every year! Mitchell Kettle Corn Wouldn't really be a festival without it! MTN Sno A classic treat on a hot day, the sno-cone truck is always a popular one with kids after playing in the FunZone! Texas Twister of OKC Refreshing and delicious fruit drinks like none other! Totally Nutz Roasting up some fresh pecans, almonds and cashews Project Graduation As they do every year, Project Graduation will be providing delicious Chicken Dinners. The profits go towards a safe evening after graduation for seniors at Siloam Springs High School. The American Legion Once again the American Legion is serving up great meals for those who want a real sit down experience. They will serve cornbread, beans, homemade desserts, coffee, and tea on Friday. On Saturday they will serve spaghetti with garlic Texas toast, homemade desserts, coffee, and tea. Sunday is leftovers! Serving times are 11:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. on Friday and Saturday and 10:30 – 2:00 p.m. on Sunday. New 2022 vendors and more reasons to come hungry!
