There are very few Tri Sigma chapters that have reached this milestone, making this anniversary even more special. To celebrate our centennial anniversary, the chapter, Chapter Advisory Board, and Housing Corporation, hosted a two-day reunion in Pittsburg during the first weekend of March. Looking Back The weekend kicked off with an alumnae social hour on Friday night at The Pitt, a local restaurant in downtown Pittsburg, which welcomed alumnae to town and allowed them to reminisce about their favorite memories together. Saturday was a busy day, which included campus tours of some of Pittsburg State's newest buildings, an open house at the chapter house, a Circle Degree ceremony, and a viewing of the property for the new Chi Chapter house. You read that correctly—Chi is getting a new house! The day culminated with an unforgettable banquet on campus. Forty women participated in Circle Degree at Timmons Chapel, which is the final ritual ceremony to complete membership. We were fortunate to have Tri Sigma National President Natalie Moore Averette, Gamma Beta '85 and National Ritual Chairman and Chi Chapter alumna Cathy Duffin Albright '78 conduct the ceremony. The Saturday banquet was attended by 250 collegians, alumnae, and friends. Campus leadership, including President Steve Scott and Provost Howard Smith, were also in attendance. Chi Chapter is very proud that Natalie and campus leaders were able to join us for this momentous occasion. As the weekend celebration wrapped up, everyone enjoyed dinner, a program reflecting the last 100 years, dancing, music, and reconnecting with sisters. We couldn't imagine a better weekend celebrating our sisterhood. Looking Ahead The weekend was not only a celebration of Chi Chapter's rich 100-year history, but it also exemplified what's to come. With the continued support of our alumnae, the growing chapter, and the efforts for a new chapter house, Chi Chapter has so much to look forward to in the next century! Our experience in Chi Chapter brought a special bond, sisterhood, and friendship to us all. Generations of sisters have made lasting memories and will always look back fondly on their Sigma Sigma Sigma experience. The chapter is where it is today because of our sisters who came before us. They built the foundation of our sisterhood, and the effort they put in the chapter resonates through the halls of our home and the success of our members. Now, as 100 years have passed, it is our time to ensure the chapter thrives. We are excited to launch the Honoring Our Past, Building Our Future – Chi Chapter Centennial Campaign. Our dedicated sisters have always been there to support and serve others. They prioritized leadership and personal development, and each generation continues to grow. It is our job as alumnae to pay it forward and help our sisters succeed. We all enjoyed the chapter house where we spent so much of our time together studying, socializing, thriving and so much more. The $1.2 million campaign goal will help fund a new chapter house for future generations of sisters to flourish. We want you to join us to make this happen. In the coming weeks, you will receive additional information about the campaign, our goals for the chapter, and how you can help. This is your time to reflect on your Tri Sigma experience and how it shaped you. Your support will impact the sisterhood and the lives of future sisters. Let's begin the next 100 years of Chi!
