BY GEORGE DICKIE How have doors opened for you since you did "Downton Abbey"? For "Angela Black," did you audition or did they just call you and say they wanted you? Well, Jack and Harry (Williams, the series' writers and creators) very kindly offered me the role of Angela Black but that's more to do with the fact I'd worked with them before on "Liar," I think, as opposed to "Downton." But, yeah, of course, I mean "Downton" certainly didn't do me any harm. It's a lovely thing to be attached to. It's a lovely thing to have as such a big part of my life and as well as a big part of my career. So something I'll be forever grateful for.
