Summer Sularin, Kona's owner, is known for a great shaved ice and as a fundraising partner to many community and athletic groups. Molded by its parent company's family-oriented work environment, Kona upholds its values about community by staying connected and giving back. During "Kona Days," groups can partner with the food truck for an opportunity to reap 25-30 percent in donations. Sularin is grateful to have Redstone as a partner for her business. With all the coins and dollars she receives from her young customers, she is happy to have a place that's easy and convenient to deposit them. Huntsville Food Truck Rally Mylikia Franklin of Franklin's Fruit Tea wanted a way to showcase her popular fruit teas. But she didn't just want to boost her own business, but also other food truck owners in the area. Last year, she planned and introduced Friday Night Market in the Boro at Cannonsburgh Village in Murfreesboro. Friday Night Market in the Boro is an array of foods and other market items all in one place. In Huntsville, Downtown Huntsville Inc. also saw an opportunity to highlight food truck owners and add a bit of fun and flavor to the city's nightlife. Look for Huntsville's Food Truck All Stars on the first Friday of each month starting in May. Murfreesboro's Friday Night Market kicks off in April.
