MARCH 2022 RETAILOBSERVER.COM 17 DOMETIC PREVIEWS INDUSTRY- FIRST WINE COOLING SOLUTION, DRAWBAR AT KBIS 2022 Dometic expands its interior appliance portfolio with its groundbreaking compact wine cooling drawer, aptly named drawbar. With a five-bottle capacity and integrated design, this industry-first new product previewed for the first time at the Dometic Home KBIS booth, S5863. Dometic DrawBar, a completely new wine cooler, is set to launch in the North American market in July 2022. Shown as a preview at KBIS, the revolutionary home appliance offers the functionality of a full-size wine cooler in an elegant compact design that fits 5 bottles. DrawBar leverages Dometic's expertise in cooling technology, a legacy that dates back to 1922 when two young Swedish engineers invented the absorption cooling technology, giving rise to a rich history of developing appliances for compact spaces. "Wherever there's a drawer, there can now be a DrawBar. It fills a white space for compact wine cooling and brings endless installation possibilities to the residential sector. This smart and ergonomic appliance has the potential to elevate the entertaining experience across a multitude of spaces in the home," says Juan Vargues, President and CEO of Dometic. Where dimensional constraints won't allow for a full- size wine cooler, DrawBar brings an expert solution that offers precision cooling technology. Featuring a user-friendly control panel, the appliance offers on, off and five preset temperatures for cooling and storing white, red and sparkling wines. This smart cooling drawer is also equipped with a humidity tray that works to maintain optimal humidity levels inside the cabinet. With its inherently ergonomic design as a drawer, under-utilized entertaining spaces and/or compact areas can now be equipped with a DrawBar. DrawBar has been designed and engineered to be seamlessly integrated below or adjacent to 24"-wide standard cabinetry. With the option to be faced with glass, stainless steel or custom paneling, installation is easily customizable. As a perfect addition to any kitchen or auxiliary space, such as a wet bar, entertainment center, master bedroom, etc., DrawBar can be installed singularly or in multiples for even more personalization.
