Am I the only one who thought telephone books went out with VCRs? Apparently they have not because someone out there is spending a ton of money to produce and deliver them. Which begs the question, "What to do with a perfectly good telephone book?" Today's first tipster begs to answer. SHRED BED. Whether for cushioning a package or lining an animal's bed, shredded phone book paper produces a nice soft shred. A great new use for clean but outdated or unused phone books. -Linda, Texas AUTOMATIC BONUS. For online bill paying, we use a credit card to pay for everything. My hus- I've been retired from fighting for almost 2 months, and lots of folks keep asking me if I regret it. So far, I gotta say- no, not one little bit. I don't miss the super strict diet. I don't miss the hours of training. I don't miss the stress of wondering if I'm going to get a fight, or if I'd get injured before the fight, or if my opponent would back out. I've enjoyed going on hikes on the weekends with friends. I've loved going out to eat. I've even really gotten back into dancing, belly dancing that is. My troupe is coming together nicely. We are working on our dance and getting our costumes together. All we need now is a place to dance.... Any takers? Of course I still teach and run my gym. And to satisfy my competitive side, I am going to run in Red Bluff the Mt. Shasta Mud run in a couple weeks. I'm a little scared that it's an uphill obstacle course run in a high altitude, but I think I can make it. I have a few brave friends doing it with me- Donnell, Brad, RuthAnn, Shannon... Good times. I'm still having the Just Move It Run/Walk at my gym the 3rd Friday of every month. For those who don't know, it's a national movement partnered with Indian Health Services in an effort to help Native Americans get more involved in physical activity. It's open to the public, it's free, and it's at my gym at noon this Friday. Come on down. On a heavier note, another one of our young ladies was viciously attacked around a month ago. Beaten by up to 10 young men. Oh man- does this infuriate me.
