She worked as a waitress in nearly all of the town restaurants (some long gone) from one end of Quartzsite to the other. She also worked at the Big Show permanent venue at Shawn's T-Shirts on Main St. Diana was born in French Camp, Calif. and raised in Modesto, Calif. She started waitressing at age 16, and drove truck briefly. This accommodated her passion for travel, adventure, hiking and camping across the U.S. Most of all, Diana was compassionate to all God's creatures. A truly free-spirited, independent, can-do kind of gal! She enjoyed writing poetry and songs and sharing them with a chosen few. She is greatly missed by Diana King family and friends. We will carry her spirit with us all our days until we meet again. A Celebration of Life will be held August 3rd, 2013 at 12 noon at Silly Al's Pizza. Pizza and refreshments will be provided.
