July 17, 2013 3013 General Plan Survey online The Town of Quartzsite has posted a 67-question survey for the 2013 QUARTZSITE GENERAL PLAN for residents on its website. The website states the survey is "in progress", but if interested visit http://www.ci.quartzsite.az.us, click the Survey link at the bottom of the page. For more information call 928-927-4333. Ralph is back! Music Jams at Bible Church Quartzsite Community Bible Church continues with Ralph Martin and his Gospel Music Jams. Come join the fun starting at 6:30pm. For more information contact Pastor Mike Glines at 928927-5035. AWC to host Kids, Crafts & Movie events this summer During the summer months AWC Quartzsite will host Kids, Crafts, and a Movie. Children from within the Quartzsite and surrounding areas will be able to participate in a craft project, create a snack, and watch a movie. Craft project dates will coordinate with the movie schedule provided. Cemetery Rd closure The Town of Quartzsite announced that Cemetery Road off Business 10 and the new entrance to the Hi Jolly Cemetery off Kofa Avenue will be closed from May 28 through Aug. 30 for repaving. The Town said the new surface will pebble up, gouge out and scuff up if driven on in the heat of summertime. Food bank seeks donations Quartzsite Food Bank is asking for donations from folks leaving for north destinations. Drop off your excess non-perishable food items at the Quartzsite Food Bank on Moon Mountain Ave., just north of the Senior Center. Main Street Eatery to host Dessert Socials this summer Quartzsite - Main Street Eatery will hold their famous Dessert Socials this summer, on the first and third Sunday of the month from 2-3pm. Main Street Eatery, on 205 E. Main Street in Quartzsite, is once again helping local non-profits with their unique fundraising opportunity. The annual event was such a success, They are calling it their Community Outreach Social. How it works: Members of local organizations help serve the desserts, and any tips or donations are given directly to that organization, as well as 50 cents from each dessert served. Come on out to the Eatery and have some great desserts and help these wonderful non-profit organizations raise some much needed funds to help them with their projects!
