She was born in Wake County, NC, daughter of the late James Robert Champion Sr., and Lindsey Carroll Champion and was preceded in death by her beloved hus- band, Emmett Odell Greene. Betty was also preced- ed in death by her broth- ers, Donald W. and James Robert Champion Jr., and her sister, Edna C. Harrison. Hilary Bernard Hamrick, Jr., age 74, passed away Wednesday December 8, 2021. Born on March 2, 1947, he was the son of the late Hilary Bernard Hamrick, Sr and Helen Ida Morehead Hamrick. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brother J.L. Hamrick. Bernard served our country was in the United States Navy. Bernard is survived by his son Wray Hamrick (Stephanie), a grand- son, brother, Ed Hamrick (Jeannie), and sister-in-law Sue Hamrick. Born October 2, 1948 in Cleveland County, Gail was the daughter of the late Albert William Blanton and Elizabeth Bryant Blanton and was preceded in death by a daughter, Kiley Elizabeth Laney, a grandson, and her brothers and sisters, Alice Faye Blanton Hager, Jimmy White Blanton, Sr., Carroll Jennings Blanton, Lavanda "Sister" Blanton Powell, and Kenneth Ray Blanton.
