He pledged ΑΤΩ that fall and went active, following in his brother's footsteps, and though wheelchair bound, he enjoyed a longtime successful farming business and tax preparation practice following his collegiate years that continues today. e "Be Like Mike" plaque presented by Pastor Rohrer to the chapter said it all and said it best: Few people face great adversity without self-pity or complaint. ose few should serve as a role model and inspiration to all of us. Mike Hilgers has always shown great courage, fortitude, optimism, and perseverance. He is a role model to emulate. We should all strive to ... Be Like Mike. Howie Dahl '68 spoke, too, of friendships built at 3000 University, and those lasting, deep roots, though not always realized during their formation. He reminded us of Greg Page '70 and his challenge when he made that eureka moment leadership pledge of $1,000,000 to build at 3000 (Continued on page 4) Howie Dahl '68, reminds the Taus of the common bond that brought us together.
