The three-judge panel unanimously dis- missed a challenge to the law brought by the Rural Empowerment Associa- tion for Community Help, North Carolina Environ- mental Justice Commu- nity Action Network and Waterkeeper Alliance in 2019. Rep. Jimmy Dixon, Senior Chair of House Agriculture Committee said, "I am pleased with the recent ruling by the NC Court of Appeals up- holding our Right to Farm laws. It is essential that our hard-working family farmers be able to con- tinue feeding a hungry world without unwar- ranted lawsuits." House Speaker Tim Moore said, "This is a great victory for farm com- munities across this state. North Carolina agriculture sustains our communi- ties, provides a source of wellness and good health to North Carolina families, and is an essential driver to the economic health of our state."
