12 | r e d f c u.o r g For Draven – the oldest Sandifer brother – Redstone is his first and only job. He began working at Decatur High as a student and is now a part- time member service representative (MSR) at Calhoun's college branch while he earns an associate degree. "I was able to work at Redstone without having to worry about who would pick up my brothers since I was their transportation," Draven said. Because he works and takes classes at Calhoun, he doesn't have long and busy commutes from school to work. He hopes to transfer to Auburn in the fall and major in pharmacy. His younger brother Satchel graduated from Decatur High in May 2021 and is now a student at Tuskegee University, majoring in architecture. Satchel was Student of the Year and played second chair trumpet for the school's marching band. He still found time to work in the high school branch and is so glad that he did. At Decatur High School, working as a Redstone student teller counts as a finance class. For Draven Sandifer and his two brothers, it's meant much more than a class grade. It's been a learning experience that they have all shared since the student branch opened in 2018. From Left: Draven, Caster, Hyatt, and Satchel. The Sandifer Brothers Creat ing a Legacy of Service
