Visions Violets of Beta Sigma Chapter of Sigma Kappa Sorority at Purdue University • Fall 2021 G iven the additional time and effort the House Corporation Board has had to put in due to the pandemic, I wanted to take this time to thank each and every one of our members for their commitment to our Sigma Kappa Chapter. It is so nice to have a group of women who care so much about Sigma Kappa that they give much of their time and attention to the Beta Sigma Chapter at Purdue University. Please know that we have an amazing group of women who are very near and dear to my heart. Our Housing Board is made up of some Beta Sigma alumnae, and I wanted to take a moment to highlight a few! Mrs. Vicki Osmolski Lindamood '92 is our vice president of personnel and has served in that capacity for many years. She also takes care of our newsletters and alumnae relations. In addition, she has been extremely instrumental in the updating of our housing director's contracts. Vicki is based in the Houston, Texas, area and keeps busy in her day job as a senior vice president of human resources for ABM. She obtained her master's degree in HR management from Concordia University St. Paul and her bachelor's degree in political science from Purdue. Mrs. Loraine Fike Seyfried '87 is a member at large. Loraine has been serving Sigma Kappa for several years at the chapter level as well as the national level. She is very instrumental in helping the board with legal information in addition to updating our housing contracts. Loraine is a chief administrative law judge for the Indiana Utility Regulatory Commission and holds a bachelor's degree in psychology from Purdue. Mrs. Christie Gillespie '85 is our vice president of alumni engagement and brings to the table several years of experience as a member of the House Corporation Board. She is working with other alumnae to develop pledge class reconnections and fundraising activity. Christie works for Planning Plus LLC as a senior consultant and holds a bachelor's degree in political science from Purdue. In addition to these women, the next four women are board members and Sigma Kappa alumnae from other chapters. Mrs. Evelyn Alido Royer, Tau '80 has been our board treasurer for the past several years. She brings her expertise of finance to our board as vice president of operations with Purdue Federal Credit Union. Mrs. Laura Haynes Moffit, Tau '80 is our board secretary and has served in that capacity for several years. She works for Purdue University as a clinical assistant professor. She has been instrumental in assisting the board with COVID-19 information. Mrs. Renee Beck, Alpha Tau '83 is our vice president of facilities. She brings her knowledge and expertise of restaurant, hospitality, and institution management to her position. She is also the director of donor relations with Psi Upsilon. Mrs. Melissa Dunlap Fleming, Gamma Gamma '96 is our board treasurer and works as an adjunct instructor for Ivy Tech. She is also a business teacher for the Excel Center in Lafayette. Please join me in thanking these wonderful ladies for doing what they do—give back.
