The Partnership will have an information table featuring Dolly Parton's Imagination Library, which it administers in McDowell, Polk and Rutherford counties. Parents may enroll their child, birth to age fi ve, in the program to receive a free monthly, age-appropriate book from the Dolly Parton's Imagination Library. • Friday, Dec 3: Symphony of Rutherford County Concert: 7:30pm, the Foundation Performing Arts Center; a variety of seasonal melodies including traditional favorites and some new selections. General admission tickets are $10. Anyone 18 years old and under gets in free. Tickets are limited as we are going to accommodate for social distancing. Mask will be mandatory. • Friday nights in Rutherfordton: Holiday Nights in Main Street Park will be Dec. 3, Dec. 10 and Dec. 17 from 5-7pm and 17th from 5-7pm. Santa will be there; music with DJ Michael Sprouse; local vendors, hot chocolate and hot apple cider available. • Annual Veterans Christmas celebration for all military veterans in Rutherford County; December 7; 11am- 2pm at the Veterans Services Offi ce, 303 Fairground Road, Spindale; plenty of food and a special gift for all veterans attending. Christmas Parades: The Spindale and Rutherfordton Christmas parades will be held on Saturday, Dec. 4. The parade lines up in Spindale at 2pm on Elm Street and will begin the march along Main Street at 3:30pm. After passing through Spindale, the second line up will be on Southern Street in Rutherfordton and the parade down Main Street begins at 5pm. The 2021 Town of Ellenboro Christmas Parade will be held on Sunday December 5 at 3pm on Main Street in Ellenboro. Donation will be accepted to support our clubhouse at 1761Maple Creek Road, Rutherfordton. • Shadrack's Christmas Light Show: The Tryon International Equestrian Center off Pea Ridge Road in Mill Spring is again hosting the Shamrack's Christmas Light Show beginning Wednesday, Nov. 24 through Jan 2, 2022, from 6-10pm. The show is a drive-through from the safety of vehicles. Restaurants and shopping are also available for guests. • Santa on the Chimney: Santa Claus will make his annual climbs on Chimney Rock Saturday, Dec.4 and Saturday, Dec. 11 from 11am-2pm.
