Fall 2021 PHI SIGMA KAPPA FRATERNITY AT PURDUE UNIVERSITY Phi Sig Express D elta Triton celebrated our 90th year at Purdue on October 2 at the corner of Waldon and Third Street with a pre-game brunch, social time, and our annual alumni meeting. It was a great day to be a Phi Sig despite the warm rain and a 24-13 loss to Minnesota. During the alumni meeting, John Lendrum '80, Mike McFarland '04, and Tom Boldrick '83 were reelected to the board. Kevin Chase '01 was elected to serve as president, John as vice president, and Tom as treasurer. Since the capital campaign has ended, it was recommended from the floor that the alumni board pursue an annual appeal campaign for the purpose of supporting house maintenance, early retirement of the mortgage, and scholarship. The board will develop a structure and return to the membership with ideas by May 2022. Letter from the President It's an honor and a privilege to serve all of you as president of the alumni board. We've been fortunate to have had outstanding leadership over the last few years, and the bar has been set to a high level of excellence. It really is a great time to be a Phi Sig in the Delta Triton Chapter, as our membership has grown to over 120 actives (including our 29 associates). We are truly one of the top houses on campus and have continued to maintain high standards in our selection process. It's also a great time to be an alumnus! I thank those that have been involved in the past and welcome any alumni that would like to reengage. We have lots of opportunities to contribute, so please reach out to me any time. As we close the capital campaign, we turn our attention back to supporting the chapter in developing brotherhood, scholarship, and character. The Greek environment continues to thrive on campus, but our brothers face many academic and social challenges and will continue to require guidance and support. Key initiatives in the coming months include the alumni mentorship program, strategic planning, an annual appeal campaign, and our ongoing work to help Protect Purdue with our COVID protocols. I'm excited to work with all of you as we tackle these initiatives! Boiler Up and Damn Proud!
